Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles with Extract of Indian Ginseng and In Vitro Inhibitory Activity against Infectious Bursal Disease Virus

Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) is a serious poultry pathogen responsible for causing major economic losses to the industry globally. The closely related several other important viral pathogens of fishes, crabs, and mollusks evolutionarily humans. Previously, we demonstrated inhibition this by extracts roots Withania somnifera Dunal, commonly known as Indian ginseng, both in vitro vivo. Furthermore, many studies reported diverse types viruses nanoparticles silver. In present study, investigated inhibitory effect silver obtained green synthesized with ginseng extract against IBDV. Conditions synthesis were optimized, thus (WS AgNPs) characterized physically. Thereafter, maximum non-cytotoxic dose these treating chicken embryo fibroblasts (CEF) was determined. Treatment IBDV-infected CEF WS AgNPs decreased infective titer >93%, intracellular load >71%, virus-induced cytopathy >51%, demonstrating strong IBDV, encouraging similar applications veterinary human viruses.
